High School Summer Intern Program Accepting Applications - Center for Climate and Life

The Center for Climate and Life is now accepting applications from local high students interested in gaining hands-on geoscience research experience.

During the one-month program, students work in small groups under the mentorship of leading scientists at Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory in Palisades, NY.

Participants will learn how to read research papers, perform measurements, collect and analyze data, and present their findings. Exposure to academic and career paths in the sciences comes from their mentor, lab group members, and lunchtime discussions with scientists from a variety of geoscience disciplines.

The program runs from July 631, 2020. Applications must be received by Friday, March 27.

Visit the program page for more information about the experience and how to apply.
